1470060_633697110009722_1881517316_nLivingston Round Table want to say a big thank you to the judges and all of the participants in the Dragon’s Den event held at the Bankton House Hotel last night (21/11/2013).

The judges (Angela Constance; M.S.P., Simon Aston; Chairman of Livingston Round Table, and Jim Gallacher; Chief Executive of Voluntary Sector Gateway, were unanimous in their view that the quality of all the entrants presentations was exceptionally high, and that all of the good causes extremely worthy.

“This made picking a winner really difficult” said Simon Aston, “however all the entrants were guaranteed a donation of £250 and the winners of the £1000 donation on the evening were Murieston Environmental Group for all the great work the volunteers are doing restoring Campbridge Park & Pond to its original state”.  It was very difficult on the night and a discretionary 2nd place was given to 14th West Lothian Scout Group who received £750.

We’ve had lots of really good feedback about the evening and it was clearly a great networking opportunity for the various good causes and charities, with lots of ideas and phones number being swapped, so watch out for Livingston Round Table Dragon’s Den event 2014.
